When the event sells in record time as 2011 Worldwide Developers Conference only took, one always wonders Why event organizers didn't See the closest and expand as necessary. But if you're looking for an event such as WWDC, there are many factors that Apple is to consider before taking this step.
San Francisco Moscone Center certainly can hold more than traditional participants 5000 generally allocated WWDC. Apple may decide to use the full center of the Convention and take places North and South. But location is not an issue. In reality though, moving to the location as Las Vegas could potentially hold all Apple registered developers (each ticket purchase), without issue.
So if you keep things small and keeping the Conference for only 5,000 participants is what Apple has is the key to the success of the Conference, puling off then maybe simulcasting to multiple locations or repeating events in different regions of the world is a better way to deal with the increase in demand. This makes perfect sense in entertainment, where entertainers are looking to maximize the time spent in front of the fans. But WWDC is about Entertainment, and as Apple would like to spend more time with developers, is not nearly so easy to do remotely.
That leaves only one limited resources as the real reason Apple cannot afford to expand the WWDC to accommodate more programmers. Presentations and materials, which are a highly WWDC are of superior quality (speaking from personal experience). Each presentation is lead by an Apple engineer. During WWDC 2010 one of the presenters were live show will be badly, and started as a presenter he began to choke. Within minutes the second presenter stepped up and took the alternative demonstration and proceeded on schedule without someone going-away feeling like they had missed out on something. In other words, Apple shall at the same time and energy in its Conference is doing products, and that becomes much harder to do when you start playback size.
As long this Apple insists that the speakers are all WWDC Apple engineers, and other associates in relation to the product, and then WWDC will continue to sell in record time. Pulling out of the quality of the annual Conference, using the very employees can also depend on the core business is a very expensive. The location is probably will never due to its proximity to the very resources (Apple) thanks to the great success of the Conference. It will also probably never to be repeated in different locales, taking Apple. relentless release schedules for their products (taking time off for the Conference threatens this schedule). The only chance would be likely to be simulcast event in the world, and such events ever occurring at this scale in many places around the world also would be difficult and costly to conduct — probably more than crystallizing the ultimate reward. So be prepared is akin to connect to the Internet in 2012, because ticket sales are likely to break records WWDC yet again the next year, because Apple is not liable to result in large changes even in the face of strong demand.
