New iPhone ads, Apple games Strengths … and iBooków?

Apple released a trio of new iPhone ads, all of which are available on its website and on YouTube. All advertising share the slogan "If you do not have the iPhone" and focus on key features of the platform exclusivity, which are not available to other devices. Apple is a good idea to highlight areas where supplanting it, but I'm left scratching his head at Why iBooków is one of the three function highlighted.

The first three ads focus on the App Store, which is an obvious choice. Apple still owns the app market, despite the rapid growth of the software available on the Android platform, so when Apple makes the claim that Android users do not have access to the largest choice of applications, there is nothing to dispute.

The same with the second ad, which talks about iPhone iPod app and iTunes music store access. Apple wins on the distribution of digital music and media player space has ruled almost as long as it was one of the rules and not likely to be ceding that market quickly vanished, despite new competition.

The last ad is the one that sticks. It argues that if you do not have an iPhone, you are missing out on the iBooków and the iBookstore. This is true, but it is very difficult to landslide competitive platform iOS in the way in which they are App Store and iTunes. Apple may use the same formula for all three ads (iPhone has access x storage, which provides content for use on the device), but during the first two seem to be selling the iPhone using the platform as a zachetyUpieralbym that makes this a contradiction of the last.

IBookstore failed to gain traction is a genus of Amazon's Kindle storefront and an application that is cross-platform and had a significant head start in the market for e-books. After he returned to October 2010 TUAW posted red review of the status iBooków, and the situation has not changed much, although Apple has now Random House stable, in addition to his original five partners to publish the main iBookstore.
