Apple charts new future for iOS map — without Google?

New job posting rose Apple, suggesting the company continues to move in the direction of his own plans for the mobile map, separately from Google. In accordance with the Accounting, iOS maps Application Developer in Cupertino would "radically improve the use of maps and location-based services." Design the user interface is a necessity, as well as the "passion" for technology based on location.

Certainly there is the possibility of improvements in the current application maps, which had relatively few updates outward from introduced with the original iPhone back in 2007. Despite the power of Google Maps, the map does not compare with iOS at the latest on Android. The lack of function in this turn by turn directions, 3D maps, topography, offline maps and information about places. While Apple is clearly as Google map app development, it would not be entirely accurate to say the companies were ignoring map services.

In 2009, Apple PlaceBaseacquired, data mapping, and service provider in 2010, also purchased another mapping company, Tony. In both cases, the workers, as well as the software went to Apple. Also last year, Apple made a major internal changes to the map. Starting with iOS 3.2 on the iPad, with iOS 4 on all devices, Apple began using their own databases instead of those belonging to the Skyhook Wireless and Google for information about the location.

Preview iOS 5 expects in the next month may not have to wait long to find out whether Apple plans to take complete control of the app map iOS that year. Rumors mobileme development suggests a new localization services and Find My Friends are in the warehouse. It is not difficult to imagine, maps friends and recommended places imposes as layers on the built-in app Apple maps and dynamically updated. Social networking functionality, combined with more services map, would be Welcome in iOS, 5, and one that Apple would gain some ground over the competition.

Of course there is also a risk in replacing the current software maps, too. Google has spent years of continuously improving the moving map software, and less than impressive 1.0 maps Apple actually could hurt platform iOS (especially if it lacks wow factor functions, such as Google Street view). The Problem is to wait until next year would be iOS 6 only see Google increase market share, while the version of the Apple map continue to languish. From the perspective of the consumer, the best solution is probably to co-exist alongside the current Apple maps powered by Google maps, such as iBooków and Kindle for e-readers. However, that would mean further reliance on Google for a critical part of the platform for iOS, and that it would be very UN Apple indeed.
