eBay sees 12 K iPad 2 sales in two weeks

If you are looking for iPad (2) in the last few weeks and wanted humanity instantly, eBay was a good place to search, so long as does not mind asking price. It appears at least 12,000 people were impatient type (with big wallets, not less), as this is where the iPad 2s were sold through the site during the first two weeks of availability of your tablet PC.

eBay buyers paid a premium for significant retail. On average, customers paid almost $ 200, more for the basic model of 16 GB, which was the most popular model, with 30 per cent of the total eBay sales. The second most popular seller, iPad 64 GB 3 G, carried an average additional cost of over $ 400 above the price of the official asking Apple.

Some of the highest demand for the iPad outside of the UNITED STATES come from Canada, Hong Kong, Russia, Britain and Hong Kong, many of which are countries where the iPad or just launched or will launch in April. Concerns delays and global stock shortages are likely to encourage sales in those countries, despite the direct announced start date.
